Set a business name and logo for your YouTube & partners and Demand Gen line items

You can set a specific business name and logo for YouTube & partners and Demand Gen line items in Display & Video 360. This feature allows you to override the channel's branding to better match your advertising goals, ensuring a consistent experience for your audience. Previously, the business name and logo were automatically taken from the YouTube channel hosting the ad creative.

Advertiser level

To save time and ensure brand consistency, you can set a default business name and logo for all new YouTube & partners and Demand Gen ads created under an advertiser in Display & Video 360.

  1. Navigate to your advertiser in Display & Video 360.
  2. In the left menu, go to Advertiser settings and select Basic details.
  3. Find the “YouTube and Demand Gen settings” section.
  4. Enter your business name and upload your logo in the “Business name & logo” section.
  5. Select Save.

When you create a new ad, it will automatically use the business name and logo you have set in the advertiser level. If you remove the business name and logo, existing ads created prior to this change will remain unchanged.

Ad level

Setting the business name and logo at the ad level allows you to override the advertiser-level settings. This allows you to define a unique business name and logo for each of your ads.

You can edit the business name and logo of a specific ad even if the “Business name” and “Logo” fields are pre-populated with advertiser-level settings. If the “Business name” and “Logo” fields are empty, you can enter a new business name and upload a new logo.

  1. Create or edit an existing ad for a supported YouTube & partners or Demand Gen line item.
  2. Find the “Media” section and select Add logo to upload your preferred logo.
  3. Find the “Text” section and enter your business name in the “Business name” field.
  4. Select Create ad. If you’re editing an existing ad, select Done.

The business name and logo you’ve set at the ad level will only apply to that individual ad.

Note: Setting the business name and logo is currently optional for YouTube & partners line items, but will be required in the future. For Demand Gen line items, setting the business name and logo is required.

Benefits

  • Brand flexibility: Advertisers gain direct control over the business name and logo displayed on their ads, allowing for brand consistency even when using generic or “house” channels.
  • Improved compliance: The business name and logo are treated as reviewed ad assets, helping advertisers comply with regulations that require their name to be clearly displayed.
  • Consistent experience: Setting the business name and logo for YouTube line items aligns with the workflow for Demand Gen campaigns, where these fields are already used.

Supported ad formats

You can set the business name and logo for Demand Gen and YouTube & partners line items that use responsive ad formats, including:

  • Video reach campaigns (Efficient reach)
  • Non-skippable in-stream ads
  • Target frequency campaigns
  • Video view campaigns
  • Shorts ads
  • Pause ads

Ad sequences, audio ads, and Masthead ads do not currently support setting the business name and logo.

Ad review process

The business name and logo you provide are considered creative assets and will go through the standard ad review process. If your business name or logo is disapproved, the entire ad will be disapproved. You’ll need to edit the assets and resubmit the ad for review.
