Advertisers can select a custom currency for individual media plans within the Reach Planner in Display & Video 360. This feature allows advertisers to budget and forecast in local currencies, which is a requirement for certain media types such as Linear TV.
The currency picker is available when creating digital-only plans. For plans that include Linear TV, an automated popup will guide advertisers to align the plan currency with the TV locale's requirements.
Note: Regardless of the selection, the currency picker feature doesn’t affect billing.
Benefits
- Global planning flexibility: Advertisers can plan campaigns for international markets using the specific currency of that region.
- Broader support for Linear TV: Advertisers can create Linear TV plans aligned with the necessary TV locale.
- Platform consistency: The currency picker in Display & Video 360’s Reach Planner mirrors the planning experience in Google Ads, ensuring that the planning workflow of advertisers remains consistent.
Access the currency picker
- From your advertiser, navigate to Inventory and select Plans in the left menu.
- Select New plan.
- Enter a name for your plan.
- In the “Location and currency” section, select the relevant currency from the Currency dropdown.
- Complete the Reach Planner setup process.
Note: Linear TV budgeting requires the currency to match the local region to provide accurate reach and cost data. If you include Linear TV in your plan, you should align your plan currency with the TV locale's requirements.
