You can set custom start and end times for YouTube Programmatic Guaranteed and Non-Guaranteed instant deals. This allows you to control when these line items become automatically active so you don’t have to manually activate these in Display & Video 360. You can also modify your existing line items to customize their end times if needed.
How start and end times work
When you create a new YouTube programmatic guaranteed or non-guaranteed instant deal, use the following guidelines to manage your campaign flight dates and times.
By default, your start date will automatically be set to the next day, unless you specify otherwise. If no start or end time is specified, the system will default to a start time of 12:00 AM and end time of 11:59 PM. Line items created for the same day with a start time in the past will begin serving as soon as possible if the start time is in the past.
Editing start and end times
You can make edits to the date and time before your line item begins. Once he start date and time has passed, it’s no longer possible to edit that date or time.
When duplicating line items, the original start and end times will be carried over. You can update it in the “Flight dates and time” section of the new line item settings.
- Start and end times are always set in the advertiser’s timezone.
- The start and end time can be selected from a list or manually entered in the HH:MM format.
- Line items will be served until the end of the minute for the specified end time. For example, an end time of 1:05 PM would mean that it serves until 1:05:59 PM, not 1:05:00 PM.
- For CPH Masthead line items, end times can only be set to the end of the hour (HH:59).
