Benefits

  • Offset costs for collecting and providing data: Retailers charge these fees as a percentage of the media cost. This arrangement benefits you by allowing you to:
    • Attribute sales events as conversion events, showing how your campaigns impact sales
    • Improve campaign performance by using data to identify the effective campaigns, strategies, and creatives in driving sales

How it works

You can opt into receiving conversion data from specific retailers and agree to their associated measurement fees. These fees, set by the retailers as a percentage of the media cost, are transparently logged during ad serving and are visible in your reporting.

In addition to these retailer-specific fees, a platform fee may also apply, which could include a 10% platform fee of the cost charged for the retailer, in addition to the fees charged on behalf of retailers.

Link your product data from your commerce media partners

When you link your product data from your commerce media partners, you can get access to product sales data from your commerce partners’ Google Merchant Center accounts.

  1. In your Display & Video 360 account, open an advertiser.
  2. Click the Resources drop-down and select Floodlight group.
  3. In the “Floodlight activities” tab, click the name of a Floodlight activity that you want to link to Retailer data.
  4. In the “Basic details” tab, navigate to the “Display & Video 360 activity settings”.
  5. In the “Commerce partner measurement” card, click Copy Floodlight IDs and share the Floodlight configuration ID and Floodlight activity with your commerce partner.

Reporting

You can view a measurement report or a fee report based on your product sales data.

Measurement report

This report shows the breakdown of sales per product, depending on what the Retailer has sent. To generate an SKU report, learn more About reporting conversions with cart data.

Fee report

This report shows the measurement fees associated with your retail partners. A single line item may involve measurement fees from multiple retailers, this report uses overcounting logic. This means when you pull a report by Merchant ID, you’ll find the specific fee for that merchant alongside other metrics like media cost and impressions.

To view these details, you must manually build a report and include these fields at a minimum:

  • Merchant ID: This dimension shows the ID of the retailers.
  • Commerce partner name: This dimension shows the name of the retailers.
  • Commerce measurement fee: This metric shows the fee you paid to retailers for receiving their conversion data. This is available in advertiser currency, partner currency, and USD.
