Pause data collection in the study

You can pause data collection at any time. To pause data collection, follow the below instructions:

Pause data collection

1. On your Android device, open the Device Usage Study app.
2. Find the card under “Device data collection” on your home screen.
   • If it says “Data collection is ON”, the app is currently collecting and processing your data.
3. To turn off Data collection, flip the toggle.
   • The toggle will show “Data collection is OFF.” You can use your device without data collection enabled.
   • Extended pauses may impact your ability to earn rewards*

Resume data collection

1. On your Android device, open the Device Usage Study app.
2. Find the card under “Device data collection” on your home screen.If data collection is paused, it’ll show “Data collection is OFF.” The app isn’t collecting and processing your data which may impact your rewards*
3. To turn it on, flip the toggle.
   • The toggle will show “Data collection is ON.” The app is collecting and processing your data.
