Because the Device Usage Study is a United States based program, please turn off (disconnect) your VPN to avoid data collection when traveling outside of the United States. To do so complete the below steps:
Android
- Go to Settings > Network and Internet > VPN
- Tap on ResearchMeter and select Disconnect
iOS
- Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > VPN
- Click on the ⓘ icon for "ResearchMeter VPN" and turn off the Connect On Demand button.
- Toggle the VPN Status to Not Connected
Once you are back in the United States please remember to turn on (connect) your VPN to resume participating in the program. To do so, follow the same steps outlined above, but make sure to toggle the VPN status to “Connected” after completion. Note that a failure to turn the VPN back on to resume data collection will impact your ability to earn rewards.
