Follow these steps to close your group permanently:
- From your Meetup group's homepage, select “Manage group”
- Choose “Step down as organizer” from the dropdown
- De-select any members that are selected on the following page.
- Add a reason on the following page
- Select "Next", and then "Continue"
- Choose the “delete the Meetup” link
- Confirm with the “Delete this Meetup” button on the following page
- On the final confirmation page, click the “Done” button
