Create flowchart reports

Planning provides an easy way for you to export a spreadsheet that shows the monthly spend per placement within a plan, rolled up to either placements or sites.

To create a flowchart, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Plan page.
  2. Click Export… ↓.
  3. Select either Flowchart by placement or Flowchart by site.
  4. Planning will export a .csv file. Import the file into your spreadsheet program of choice.

A flowchart by placement will have the following columns:

  • Site name
  • Placement start/end dates
  • Placement/Placement Group
    • The name of packages, roadblocks, and standalone placements will be shown in this column.
  • Placement/Placement Group ID
  • Associated placement
    • The name of an in-group placement will be shown in this column. The package or roadblock of the in-group placement will be shown in the “Placement/Placement group” column.
  • Associated placement ID
  • Type
  • Dimensions
  • Campaign Manager placement ID
  • Content category
  • Placement strategy
  • Units by calendar month or calendar week, depending on which you chose
  • Cost by calendar month or calendar week, depending on which you chose
  • Cost structure
  • Units
  • Rate
  • Cost
  • Description
  • Site contact information

A flowchart by site will have the following columns:

  • Site name
  • Placement start/end dates
  • Cost by calendar month
  • Units
  • Cost

Remember, because you're tracking spend within a plan, only placements that are in a plan will be exported to the flowchart spreadsheet. Also, credits will appear as negative numbers. They will not have a content category, dimension, or placement strategy.
