Can I combine reports for Google and non-Google data into one dashboard? 0 Recommended Answers 1 Reply 0 Upvotes

Hello;

I apologize if this question has already been answered, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

We are creating client facing dashboards for our clients and wanted to know if Google and non-Google dashboards have to be separated or if we can combine them into one?

For example, we have our dashboard that shows CPC, Impressions, CTR, etc for Google products with data that is fed directly into data studio.  This is a one page report.

We also have a custom-built report that shows data from Pandora and OTT.  This is assembled via a data source we upload as a .csv file.  This is also a one page report.

Is there a way to make one single report with page 1 being our Google data and page 2 being our Pandora/OTT data?  Or do we need to just need to give the client 2 separate reports?  Blending & Joining data doesn't seem to be the appropriate fit unless I am using it incorrectly.

Any insight would help.

Thanks,

Hi Ken Peoples,

You can add multiple Data Source's in single report.  You can also add multiple page in single Report.

One thing to keep in mind is that there are two levels in Data Studio Reports. A "Report Level" and a "Page Level". In your case, you can set different Data Sources for different pages.

To do this:
  1. Create a New Report. Default Page is Page 1. Let this your Google Report Page.
  2. Right Click on an empty space and click on "Current Page Settings".
  3. Here, in Data section you can set Data Source for this Page.
  4. Select Google Data Source.
  5. Now, On this Page, you can draw your charts and filters etc. for Google Report using Google Data Source.
  6. Now, Click on New Page button in Menu Ribbon. This will be Page 2. Let this be your Non-Google Report
  7. Again, Right Click on an empty space and click on "Current Page Settings".
  8. Similarly, Here in Data section you can set Data Source for this Page.
  9. Select Non-Google Data Source.
  10. Now, On this Page, you can draw your charts and filters etc. for Non-Google Report using Non-Google Data Source.
and there it is! A two page report with different data sources for each page.

Hope it Helps. Do let me know. :)
