We are committed to complying with applicable data protection laws.

We are always working to stay compliant, which helps make compliance easier for your business. We are audited regularly by third parties, maintain certifications, provide industry-standard contractual protections, and share tools and information you can use to strengthen your business’ compliance.

Data Studio users may find this article a useful resource, particularly if they are businesses affected by the European Economic Area’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California's California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), or other similar regulations.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you have a business in the territory of a member state of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, or if you are subject to the territorial scope of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you are eligible to accept the terms of this Data Processing Amendment to the Google Data Studio Terms of Service.

You can accept the Google Ads Data Processing Terms in your Data Studio User Settings. You can view the text of the Google Ads Data Processing Terms at https://privacy.google.com/businesses/processorterms/.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) is a new data privacy law that applies to certain businesses that collect the personal information of California residents.

We are in the process of evaluating the new requirements created by the CCPA and ongoing regulatory developments. We will be posting more information on guidance and recommendations to customers and partners in November.

Learn more about the CCPA at https://privacy.google.com/businesses/rdp.
