Save data using Datally

You might not be able to set up Data Saver if:

• You didn't give Datally VPN access.
• Other apps on your phone use a VPN.
• Some apps on your phone, like apps that control screen brightness, have a certain setting turned on.

Step 1: Turn on VPN in Datally

1. On your Android phone, open the Datally app .
2. Tap Set up Data Saver  Allow  Okay.

If you still can't set up Data Saver, try the steps below.

Step 2: Turn off VPN for other apps

1. On your Android phone, open the Settings app .
2. Tap Network & Internet  Advanced  VPN.
3. Next to the VPN you want to turn off, tap Settings .
4. Tap Forget VPN to turn it off.
5. Open the Datally app .
6. Tap Set up Data Saver  Allow  Okay.

Step 3: Adjust apps that affect your screen

1. On your Android phone, open the Settings app .
2. Tap Apps & notifications  Advanced  Special app access  Display over other apps.
3. Tap any apps that control other apps, like changing screen brightness. Then, turn off Draw over other apps or Display over other apps for each of these apps.
4. Open the Datally app 
5. Tap Set up Data Saver  Allow  Okay. 

To move the bubble in an app, touch and hold it, then drag it.

To hide or show the bubble in an app:

1. On your Android phone, open the Datally app .
2. Tap Bubble tracker  Show bubble.

Tip: To hide the bubble in a specific app, touch and hold it, then drag it down.

If you can't find the bubble, try the following steps:

• On your Android phone, open the Datally app . Then, check that Data Saver is turned on.
• Open the Settings app  turn on Data Saver.
• Check that you’re connected to a mobile network.
• To make sure you’re using mobile data, in the Settings app :
  • Tap Mobile data to turn it on.
  • Tap Wi-Fi to turn it off.
  • Tap Airplane mode to turn it off.
• Turn off any accessibility services, like screen reader.

Note: If the app you’re using hasn’t used any mobile data, you won’t be able to access the bubble.

1. On your Android phone, open the Datally app .

2. At the top left, tap Menu   Settings.

3. Tap Reset which apps use data  Reset.
