If you are already signed in to the CS First website, click on My Classes, and complete the following steps:

  1. Click on the blue Create class button.
  2. Click on the card for the class you created.
  3. Click on the blue Add activities button.
  4. Choose a theme and click the grey Add to class button.
  5. Choose your materials preference.

You can add multiple themes to a class by completing the above steps, and by clicking the grey “Add to class” button for any theme on the Curriculum page.

Choosing a theme

Visit our Curriculum page for basic guidance on difficulty level and choose any theme that interests you and your students.

We recommend that you choose one theme per class as they are designed to be social and collaborative and there is a lot of value and support that students offer one another when they work on the same theme.

There is choice embedded in each theme in a variety of ways that elicit creativity and innovation by students including: add-ons, time to explore and extend, and if they finish, they can still access any and all of the other themed materials.
