CS First club locations

Anyone can run a CS First club at any location as long as you meet the minimum requirements.

Adding a new location for a club

  1. Enter any city/state or a full address into the Search field.
  2. Click Search.
  3. Check the “host” box next to the correct location.
  4. Click “Save My Locations”.

My location/address is not listed

If you are unable to find your specific location via the instructions above, please pick the any other location. If you don’t want the location you pick to show upon our impact map, do not check the box next to create a Pride Page.

You will be able to specify your shipping address on the "Request Materials" page, but that address will not be made public.

Choosing a theme

Visit our Curriculum page for basic guidance on difficulty level and choose any theme that interests you and your students.

We recommend that you choose one theme per club as they are designed to be social and collaborative and there is a lot of value and support that students offer one another when they work on the same theme.

There is choice embedded in each theme in a variety of ways that elicit creativity and innovation by students including: add-ons, time to explore and extend, and if they finish, they can still access any and all of the other themed materials.

Flexible schedule versus detailed schedule

Detailed schedule

If you know exactly which dates and times your club will run, you can select the "detailed scheduling" option which will allow you to set a schedule for your club. Students will automatically be directed to the activity they should be on according to the schedule you've selected.

To edit your schedule at any time

  1. Visit your My Clubs page
  2. Click on the club you want to access
  3. Click edit next to Step 2

Flexible schedule

If you need more flexibility in your club schedule, it's suggested that you select the "start-date-only" option. To make this change

  1. Visit your My Clubs page
  2. Click on the club you want to access
  3. Click edit next to Step 2
  4. Check the box that says "skip detailed scheduling"
  5. Click Save Schedule

If you switch to a start-date-only, you'll need to have students manually navigate to the activity they are on after they have signed in. To do this, have them click on Activities & Badges, and click on the activity they are on.
