Student Stuck in a Teacher Account

Don't panic. It's likely that your student signed in as a teacher at some point. The best way to fix this is to have the student delete their "teacher" account by following these steps:

  1. Click on the Teacher button (top right).
  2. Select Profile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the profile page and click Delete my CS First account.
  4. [Teacher should follow steps 1-3 below if your class is connected to Google Classroom].
  5. Sign in to CS First again and be sure to select the I'm a student option.

CS First Teacher should follow these steps if connected to Google Classroom:

  1. If your CS First class is connected to Google Classroom (GC), after the student deletes their account, update your Google Classroom roster so that their GC invitation is resent.
  2. Ensure the student accepts the new invitation in Google Classroom.
  3. Sign-in to CS First, click on your class, click the People tab, then scroll down and click on Import Changes so your CS First student list reflects the changes you made in GC.
  4. Have student complete Step 5 above.

Teacher Stuck in a Student Account

It's likely that you signed in as a student at some point. The best way to fix this is to delete your "student" account by following these steps:

  1. Click on the Student button (top right).
  2. Click on Profile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the profile page and click delete my CS First account.
  4. Then, sign-in to CS First as a teacher.
  5. Click on your class, click the People tab, then scroll down and click on Import Changes so your student list reflects the changes you made in GC.
