When you use the “invite code” on Crowdsource app, you help Google better understand the impact and activities of each community.
Enter an invite code
If you heard about Crowdsource from a friend or a local event organizer, and have received an invite code from them, you can enter it under Crowdsource Settings > Invite code > Invite code tab. You can apply multiple invite codes if you receive more than one code.
Applying the invite code allows Google and event organizers to assess the effectiveness of local events. Google will be able to determine which event organizers’ events you attended. Event organizers will be able to see an aggregate count of contributions that have been made by people who have entered their invite code. Organizers or other community members won’t be able to see who entered their invite code, nor would they be able to see a breakdown of individual user contributions. To further protect privacy, event organizers will only be able to see this information if several people have entered their invite code.
If you receive an app download link from the event organizer, installing the app using that link will automatically associate the referrer code with your app.
Each Crowdsource contributor will have their own unique invite code. Please ensure that you apply the correct code or app download link.
Invite your friends
You can invite your friends to Crowdsource via email or by sharing your invite code / app download link on social media. When others enter your invite code, Google is able to measure how many users accepted your invitation and their contribution count over time. This allows Google to assess the impact of local community events.
Invite code / app download link should only be used for personal and non-commercial purposes. Your invite code / app download link should not be published or distributed on commercial websites. Contributors are prohibited from “spamming” anyone with invite code invitations. This includes mass emailing, texting or messaging people you do not know or using automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute your invite code / app download link.
We reserve the right to review and investigate all invite code activities and to suspend accounts or modify aggregate contributions in our sole discretion as deemed fair and appropriate.
