How does Google use my answers?

The responses that you provide to any question are compared with responses from other users to determine the best answer. For some types of questions like "Translation", Google validates your answers by showing them anonymously to other users to evaluate. For this reason, we ask you not to include personal information in any answers. Validated answers are used to train computer algorithms that run services such as Google Translate, Google Maps, Android Keyboard, and others. "For some questions like Image Label Verification, Actor Expression and Image Captions, a subset of verified answers may also be made available as part of an open dataset."

Although Crowdsource keeps track of who submitted each answer to determine credibility with different types of tasks, this information is not shared with any other users (except in the case of open-sourced images for Image Capture, where your profile name may be used to credit you for the image).

For more details on how this information is stored, please refer to Google Privacy Policy.
