View, label, or share your contacts

You can use the Contacts app to find someone’s contact info or organize contacts with labels like "friends" or "family."

Note: Some of these steps work only on Android 6.0 and up. Learn how to check your Android version.

See your contacts

  1. Open your device’s Contacts app Contacts.
  2. Tap Menu Menu.
  • See contacts by label: Choose a label from the list.
  • See contacts for another account: Tap Down arrow Down Arrow and then pick an account.
  • See the contacts for all your accounts: Choose All contacts.
    Tip: If you have multiple contacts with the same information, the information will be grouped into one contact.
  • See your Google Account contacts on the web: Go to Google Contacts.

Contact someone

You can call, email, or send text messages to your contacts. You can also see how to make video calls or send money to your contacts.

  1. Open your device's Contacts app Contacts.
  2. Tap a contact in the list.
  3. Choose an option.

Label your contacts

You can group contacts together using labels.

  1. Open your device's Contacts app Contacts.
  2. Tap Menu Menu and then Create label.
  3. Enter a label name and tap Ok.
  • Add one contact to a label: Tap Add contact Add collaborator and then choose a contact.
  • Add multiple contacts to a label: Tap Add contact Add collaborator and then touch and hold a contact and then tap the other contacts and then tap Add.

Remove a label

  1. Open your device's Contacts app Contacts.
  2. Tap Menu Menu and then pick a label.
  3. Tap More More and then Remove contacts.
  4. Next to the contact you want to delete, tap Remove Remove.

Share your contacts

  1. Open your device's Contacts app Contacts.
  2. Tap a contact in the list.
  3. Tap More More and then Share.
  4. Choose how you want to share the contact.

See your own contact info

  1. Tap Menu Menu and then Settings.
  2. Tap Your info.
