Google Pay API & Google Pay & Wallet Console

Important: The Google Pay API is available for businesses and users in multiple countries, while the Google Pay API for India is available only for merchants and users in India.

You can add Google Pay as a payment method with your existing payment service provider. In your apps and websites, with Google Pay online, you can offer a simpler, faster, and more secure checkout.

Important: To integrate with the Google Pay API, you need to have an existing payment service provider. Google will not process Google Pay API transactions. Your existing payment service provider must handle all payment processing capabilities.

  1. To get started and create a TEST integration, use the developer documentation.
  2. To submit your integration for review in the Google Pay API page, come back to the Console.
  3. After your integration is approved, you’ll have production access to the Google Pay API.

All Google Pay API businesses must adhere to the Google Pay API Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.

Integrate your Android app

To integrate your businesses with an Android app selling non-digital goods with the Google Pay API, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Android developer documentation.
  2. To find the reference documentation for your payment service provider, check the supported payment service providers list.
  3. Review and follow the brand guidelines.
  4. Complete the tutorial and integration checklist.
  5. To request production access to the Google Pay API, use the Console.

Continue the process within the Google Pay & Wallet Console:

  1. Complete your Business Profile.
  2. On the left, from the navigation menu, select Google Pay API.
  3. Click Get Started.
  4. Accept the Google Pay API Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
  5. Under “Integrate your Android app,” find your Android APK name, and click Manage.
    • If you don't find your Android APK name:
      1. Go to the Google Play Developer Console and find an existing account owner or admin.

        Tip: You'll need this account info to create a new user in Google Pay & Wallet Console.

      2. In the Google Pay & Wallet Console, click Users.
      3. With the account info from the Google Play Developer Console, add a new user.
      4. Sign out of the Google Pay & Wallet Console.
      5. With the new user credentials, sign back into the Google Pay & Wallet Console.

    Based on the Google Account you’re signed into, the Google Pay & Wallet Console will show related Android APKs.

  6. In the onboarding flow, select your integration type with the Google Pay API.
  7. Upload screenshots of your TEST Google Pay API integration within your Android APK.
  8. To send info to the onboarding team, click Submit.
  9. Wait for their response.

To submit additional Android apps, repeat steps 5–9.

Integrate your website

To integrate your businesses with a website with the Google Pay API, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Web developer documentation.
  2. To find the reference documentation for your payment service provider, check the supported payment service providers list.
  3. Review and follow the brand guidelines.
  4. Complete the tutorial and integration checklist.
  5. To request production access to the Google Pay API, use the Console.

Continue the process within the Google Pay & Wallet Console:

  1. Complete your Business Profile.
  2. On the left, from the navigation menu, select Google Pay API.
  3. Click Get Started.
  4. Accept the Google Pay API Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
  5. Under “Integrate your website,” click Add website.
  6. In the onboarding flow, give the top-level domain that calls the Google Pay API.
  7. Select your integration type with the Google Pay API.
  8. Upload screenshots of your TEST Google Pay API integration within your website.
  9. To send info to the onboarding team, click Submit.
  10. Wait for their response.

To submit additional Web domains, repeat steps 5–10.

Feature configurations are only available for Android or Web integrations approved with the Google Pay API in the Google Pay & Wallet Console.

To access the feature configurations of approved integrations:

  1. On the left, in the navigation menu, select Google Pay API.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Find the configurations.

Monitor your integration performance

After enough people engage with your integration, you can access analytics.

To access analytics for your integration:

  1. Sign in to the Google Pay & Wallet Console.
  2. At the top left, click Menu Menu and then Google Pay API.
  3. Next to the integration, click Analytics.
    • This analytics view contains info about how your users interact with Google Pay.

You can export this data for more analysis, or scope it to specific time periods.
