Audit logs for the Secure LDAP service

This feature is available with G Suite Enterprise, Cloud Identity Premium, G Suite Enterprise for Education, and G Suite for Education.

Two types of audit logs are available for the Secure LDAP service:

  • Admin audit log
  • LDAP operations audit log

Admin audit log

The admin audit log shows a history of every task performed in your Google Admin console and which administrator performed the task. As your organization's administrator, review this audit log to track how your administrators are managing your domain's Google services. For the Secure LDAP service, creating, editing, and deleting LDAP clients are included in admin audit events.

To view the admin audit log:

  1. From the Google Admin console, go to Reports.
To see Reports, you might need to click More controls at the bottom.
  2. Go to Audit > Admin.
  3. Select one of the LDAP events to see the admin audit for that event.
You can filter for LDAP events by using the term LDAP.

For more details and instructions on the admin audit log, see Admin audit log.

LDAP operations audit log

  1. From the Google Admin console, go to Reports.
To see Reports, you might need to click More controls at the bottom.
  2. Go to Audit > LDAP.

For details about error codes that you'll see in the admin audit logs, see Secure LDAP service: Error code descriptions.
