After you set up your configuration in Google Cloud Directory Sync (GCDS), you are ready to synchronize. Run a test sync before actually syncing data.
Before you begin
Set up a sync in Configuration Manager. For details, see Set up your sync with Configuration Manager.
Step 1: Test the configuration
To make sure that your configuration is set up correctly, run a simulated sync. For details, see Verify your synchronization settings.
Step 2: Run a manual sync
To test the process and your setup, first run a manual sync. For details, see Perform a manual synchronization.
Step 3: Set up automatic syncs
If you’re satisfied with the results of the manual sync, set up automatic scheduling for future syncs. You can set up automatic syncs in 2 ways:
- Automate syncs from the command line.
- Use third-party software.
