Tax Identification information for Korea customers

Two upcoming changes require us to collect your tax identification information:

In accordance with local laws in South Korea, starting July 1, 2019, we will start adding value added tax (VAT) of 10% to all transactions unless you provide us with a Business Registration number using the form below.
In the coming months, the contracting party of your Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google Maps Platform (GMP) and Professional services, if applicable, will be changed from Google Asia Pacific Pte Ltd to Google Cloud Korea LLC (as a reseller). As a result, your account(s) will be migrated to Google Cloud Korea LLC and to your local currency, South Korean won (KRW). Consequently, your invoices will be issued by Google Cloud Korea LLC and you will be charged VAT, regardless of whether you have provided your BRN. Your GCP resources will not be affected by this migration, and will continue to run as usual.

This does not change the representation that you have made to us that you are using our services for commercial purposes. Notwithstanding this, however, we are required to charge accounts without a Business Registration number 10% VAT since we cannot confirm the tax status of your business. Google can’t advise you on tax matters, so please contact your tax advisor for any questions regarding this change. Please refer to the FAQ.
