Additional terms for Google Cloud Platform

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) offers Data Processing and Security Terms (DPST) and EU Model Contract Clauses (MCC) as a means of meeting the adequacy and security requirements of the European Parliament and Council of the European Union's Data Protection Directive and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Important: After August 10th, 2020, if the GDPR applies to your use of GCP, the MCCs will automatically apply as part of the DPST even if you have not previously accepted the MCCs in the Cloud Console. If you have already accepted a previous version of the Data Processing and Security Terms, you can re-accept the latest version of the Data Processing and Security Terms by following the below instructions.

How to opt in to the Data Processing and Security Terms and EU Model Contract Clauses

  1. Go to the Google Cloud Platform Console IAM & Admin page.

  2. If a project isn't already selected, select a project to use to opt in.

Note: If you have multiple GCP projects, you need only to opt in to the new terms for one GCP Project in your account.

  3. Below Data Processing and Security Terms, click Review and Accept.

  4. Read the agreement and then click I Accept.

If you still also want to opt in to the Model Contract Clauses, although the DPST has already incorporated MCCs, you can follow the below process:

  1. Below EU Model Contract Clauses, click Review and Accept.
  2. Read the agreement and then click I Accept.
