Professional Collaboration Engineer Exam Name Change

Why was the Professional Collaboration Engineer certification renamed to the Professional Google Workspace Administrator certification?

Google Cloud Certifications is constantly evolving, and we strive to ensure market alignment between our programs and industry job roles. Thus, effective April 29th, we will be renaming the Professional Collaboration Engineer Certification to the following: Professional Google Workspace Administrator.

What does this mean if I am already certified?

For individuals who are currently certified, your certification badge/certificate will automatically be updated to reflect the new exam program name on April 29th, 2022. The certification name change will not affect your certification expiration. Individuals who wish to recertify should continue to do so according to their current certification expiration date.

What does this mean for those who have expired certifications?

If your certification has expired, it is no longer valid. However, we recognize your efforts and celebrate your achievement; thank you for achieving a certification in the past. Our certifications are valid for two years to keep up with changes in technologies and role responsibilities. If you wish to certify again, please do so before your certification expiration date.

Will I receive official swag for passing the Professional Google Workspace Administrator exam on and after April 29th?

Yes, if you take and pass the renamed Professional Google Workspace Administrator certification exam on or after April 29th, you will receive swag. However due to supply chain and production timelines, it may take up to 10-12 weeks to receive your swag. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Will I receive updated Professional Google Workspace Administrator swag if I previously passed the Professional Collaboration Engineer certification exam?

No. We will not be providing updated swag.
