Chrome OS M67

What's new

Chrome OS updates:

  • The latest Huddly® firmware 1.3.2, which features:
    • Tuned exposure based on user studies.
    • Improved color accuracy.
    • Optimized power consumption.

Hangouts Meet update:

  • In the Google Admin console, administrators can now set a preferred microphone, speaker, and camera.

What's fixed

  • Fixed issue where unplugging the HDMI cable freezes the Mimo® touchscreen.
  • Fixed issue where peripherals set as the default in the Admin console are not reselected. Now, when a peripheral is disconnected or reconnected, it’s automatically reselected.

Chrome OS M66

What's new

Chrome OS M66 is rolling out to all Stable channel Hangouts Meet hardware kits and Chrome devices for meetings.

This update includes:

  • Chrome OS updates:
    • Improved the ability of the  Huddly® GO® camera to monitor its status and automatically recover in the background when it becomes unresponsive.
  • Hangouts Meet updates:
    • New homescreen that includes meeting agenda on all in-room displays.
    • Custom wallpaper in Meet mode—you can now add custom wallpapers to in-room displays. For details see Uploading custom wallpapers.
    • Screensaver in Meet mode—displays the Meet logo when your device is idle for an extended period.

What's fixed

  • Fixed issue where Hangouts Meet hardware and Chrome devices for meetings fail to retrieve calendar events
  • Fixed issue where Autozoom and “Present to room only” features are not available on Hangouts Meet hardware.
  • Fixed issue where Hangouts Meet hardware shows black screen on second display.
  • Fixed issue where the End call button on a Revolabs® FLX UC 500® speakermic does not end meetings.

Chrome OS M65

Chrome OS M65 is rolling out to all Stable channel Hangouts Meet hardware kits and Chrome devices for meetings.

This update includes:

  • The latest Huddly®  firmware 1.2.14, which features:
    • Significantly improved color accuracy for skin tones
    • Sharper images at the default zoom level
       
  • The ability to monitor the status of the touchscreen and automatically recover in the background when it becomes unresponsive. 

What's fixed

  • Fixed issue where the camera is turned off at the beginning of video calls in classic Hangouts.

Chrome OS M64

What's new

Chrome OS M64 is rolling out to all Stable channel Hangouts Meet hardware kits and Chrome devices for meetings.

This update includes:

  • The latest Huddly®  firmware 1.2.10, which features:
    • Significantly improved color accuracy
    • Improved white balance
    • Reduced sharpening halos
    • Sharper images at lower zoom levels
       
  • Updates to autozoom camera control:
    • An increased range, from 2.4 m to 3.5 m. 
    • Increased accuracy using motion detection.
    • A higher resolution overview stream (408p instead of 320p for face detection).

What's fixed

  • Fixed issue where Chrome device for meetings crashes during video meetings. For more information, see crbug.com/779190
  • Fixed issue where Chrome device for meetings freezes during video meetings. For more information, see crbug.com/736725
  • Fixed issue where HDMI presenting doesn’t start or the connection drops. Presenting to the room using an HDMI cable is now more reliable. If the connection is dropped, such as if the cable is accidentally unplugged, Hangouts Meet hardware will attempt to reopen the HDMI stream for a short period of time.
