Setup essentials
- A display device with Chromecast built-in
- Access to an available power outlet or (non-service) USB port on your HDMI-enabled display
- Access to a secure wireless network Make sure you have the wireless network password handy.
- A compatible Android or iOS device or tablet

Set up your TV with Chromecast built-in
Chromecast built-in is automatically turned on when you set up Android TV or Google TV devices. On other TVs that come with Chromecast built-in, you can turn on Chromecast built-in when you set up your TV or start casting.
The flows may vary across TV brands. Look for the option to turn on Chromecast built-in:
- In the initial TV setup flow.
- For example, on Vizio, Chromecast built-in is included in the Terms & Conditions page.
- In the TV settings or dashboard.
- For example, on LG, open the Home Hub and select the Chromecast built-in button.
- When you initiate a Cast session in an app.
- Select the Cast icon .
- Select the TV in device picker.
- Accept the Terms of Service when prompted on the TV screen.
