Live Channels does not show up on Chromecast Google TV (2020) unless you ask for it with voice.

Live channels installs and works fine but does not show up as an App on any screens. Only way to access it is to hold the voice button and say "Live Channels". On other android tv devices it shows up when you have a supported app installed (like hd homerun).

So, some reviews as well as Google's own info mention a "Live" tab, which I don't see. Perhaps this is coming soon? Maybe 'Live Channels' isn't displaying amongst the apps because it wasn't intended to be supported on Google TV and shouldn't have been available for us to download?

Does anybody know anything about this? Will having 'Live Channels' installed cause any hiccups when the 'Live' tab is introduced?

Oh...or is it that the Live tab (mentioned in my last comment) is only available to YouTube TV subscribers? What does the Live tab include?

I don't subscribe to YouTube TV, so I'm not sure about the Live tab. I almost became a subscriber, but then the price went up to $65. I wish there were lower tiers with less channels to compete with the pricing of Sling and Philo.

I have manually installed Live Channels from Play, however it seems it's broken.

My application, which was developed specifically for Android TV, shows up in channel sources, it is able to download and insert the channel list as well as the EPG in the input manager database, however when trying to invoke live tv, the setup screen shows up again, with my application listed as "Not set up".

This is a bit disappointing as the device itself is kind of neat.

I'm sure this will be solved with a software updat, hopefully soon
