Why can't I cast from my android phone, but I can from laptop or desktop? 0 Recommended Answers 4 Replies 0 Upvotes

Hey hey, I've found several forum posts regarding this, I've tried disabling the wifi frequencies, having only 2.4ghz, changing to specific channels, etc... unplugged router, plugged chromecast to usb, to 220v... still can't cast from any of the android phones from home, but works w/o problem from desktop or laptop. Also, I can set it up after factory reset, but as soon as setup is done I get a message, stating that chromecast cannot be found. I've checked the router and all devices are connected to the same wifi.

Hey... yes, as stated above, I'm doing the setup, so I have google home installed. Can't do the setup w/o it (at least not according to the manual).

The TV is on as well as the Chromecast?
 
You have searched for other devices from the Google home app and it is not showing.
 
Can you see the cast icon in Google photos?
 
If not turn your device off  and on again.
 
Then look again

Yes, TV is on, Chromecast is on, I have searched for other devices from google home and it's not showing, I don't see the cast icon on google photos, I've turned on and off all devices (router, tv, chromecast, phone)

Below you can see the message I am getting. Also, I've checked the router software, and it's according to all specifications you have for it (I've also received an e-mail from your company with requirements, I have met all of them regarding router configuration).
