Hi Vickie,
Does your WiFi signal reach your bedroom at a reasonable strength and is the connection straight to your internet router and not through a WiFi extender?

Yes i had it at living room to begin, then i took it to my room, when i brought it back to living room it will not connect.

How did you fix it mine works in the lounge andbedroom now for some it wont work in my bedroom any more

Hello, I'm having a similar issue now. The difference is ive removed it from my bedroom into the living room several times for my kids, family and for any company we've had over and wanted/needed to use it. It has always connected and worked fine. The past month or so it has stopped casting randomly and rebooting. Which had been inconvenient especially when in the middle of a movie, show etc... For the past week, i haven't been able to get it to connect. I did what i have done before in removing from my room into living room... Now since its back in my room it won't connect nor display anything. It will sometimes say "Chromecast" at the bottom as if it's about to connect line usual, but then just a black screen. Can anyone help me please?

Chat same thing with me I am plugged my Chromecast to take it to my moms so we can watch movies together but it wasn't working on a television that just had a black screen so I brought it back to my place and plug it back in to my TV and the same thing that I have a black screen not working

Hi everyone. I'm experienced the same issue since 5 days ago I moved my Chromecast from my bedroom upstairs to the living.

My Chromecast is right now very close to the wi Fi router. May this such a short distance giving me this trouble?

San3 kind 8f issue.. love how Google doesn't answer and fix 5he problem.. I hate Chromecast.. nothing but iseyes Everytime Google changes something

I had a similar problem a while ago. However I have found a solution, via a laptop. Log in to Google home and add your TVs individually to your account as approved devices. It takes a little common sense with electronic devices but I  now can move my 2 cast devices (1st gen & 2nd generation) between multiple devices/ TVs, even to different internet networks with minimal fuss so long as I have the TVs added on my Google home. Hope this helps some of you.

Same issues.
Chromecast was moved back to the teenagers lounge (where it normally lives, plugged into a Veon TV). We had taken out to main lounge for family movie night as we often do, in fact it has been moved between 5 different TVs' and is played by a number of diff devices from iPhone to Samsung8&9 to Vodafone N8 and it has always (eventually) worked. Sometimes we turn off and on and restart modem, but it works.
I just restarted the chromecast by holding the little button down and proceeded to set up like 'new device', all went well until it came time for final install and my Home app tells Anouchka Dearlove that the chromecast has been set up, however the app cant locate it on the same network??????!!!! Wot the????
