Control media with Google Media Controls

With Google Media Controls, you can control media that plays on:

• Google streaming devices (Chromecast, Chromecast Ultra, Chromecast Audio, Chromecast with Google TV, Google TV Streamer (4K))
• TVs and speakers that work with Google Cast
• Google Nest and Home speakers and displays

To access Google Media Controls, your mobile device must be connected to the same Wi-Fi as your speaker, display or streaming device.

The controls list up to four casting devices. If you cast on more than four devices at once, you won't be able to access all of them.

Check if your mobile device is supported

• This feature may not be available on certain iOS versions.
• This feature isn't available on Android devices. Learn to cast media control notifications using Android devices.

Use the controls

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. Tap the current media session.
3. Tap Pause , Play or Stop to control what's being played.
