I would like to replace my defective device

If you purchased your Chromecast Audio from Google Play or an authorized Chromecast retailer and are in need of a replacement, please contact us for assistance.

Please note:

• We can only replace your defective Chromecast Audio with a replacement Chromecast Audio that is authorized for sale/use in the same country where you originally purchased your Chromecast Audio and the replacement Chromecast Audio must be shipped to an address in that same country.
• For example, if you purchased your Chromecast Audio in the United States, we can only replace your device with one authorized for sale/use in the United States, and we can only ship that replacement to an address in the United States.
• Proof of purchase is required.

If you purchased your Chromecast Audio from someone other than a Google-authorized retailer, your purchase is not covered by our warranty. Please review our Warranty policy.

Please have your Chromecast Audio's serial number available when you call so we can assist you. Your serial number can be found on the back of your Chromecast Audio under the HDMI logo. Before replacing your device, please be sure to perform a factory reset on your device. A factory reset clears your data from your Chromecast Audio.

You can perform a factory reset on your Chromecast Audio by using one of the two methods listed below:

 From the Google Home app

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. Tap and hold your device's tile.
3. At the top right, tap Settings   More   Factory reset  Factory reset.

From the Chromecast Audio device

While the Chromecast Audio is plugged in, hold down the button on the side of the Chromecast Audio. The LED will begin blinking orange. When the LED light turns white, release the button and the Chromecast Audio will begin the reboot sequence.
