Listen to music with Google Play Music and Chromecast

Some Google Play products and features aren't available in all countries. See what's available in your country.

With Google Play Music and a Chromecast device (Chromecast, Chromecast Audio, or TV and speakers with Chromecast built-in),  you can take your favorite tunes to a whole other level by casting them to your TV or speakers. Have music saved on your computer? Use Google Play Music Manager to create a complete music library to cast to your TV, speakers, or mobile device.

After you've set up your Chromecast, here's how you can listen to music using Google Play Music Google Play Music Icon.

Cast music

  1. Connect your phone or tablet and Chromecast to the same wireless network.
  2. Open the Google Play Music app Google Play icon.
  3. Tap the Cast button Inactive cast extension .
  4. Select your Chromecast device from the device list.
  5. Select a song, album, or playlist.
  6. Tap Play.
