Guest mode PIN doesn't appear on the device card

If the guest mode PIN doesn't appear on the device card that you’d like to set up with guest mode, try these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap and hold your device's tile.
  3. At the top right, tap Settings  and then Recognition and sharing and then Guest mode.
  4. Verify that it is on.
  5. Turn off Off guest mode and then turn it back on On.
  6. Check if the PIN appears on the device card.
  7. If the PIN still doesn't appear, reboot your Chromecast. To do this, unplug the Chromecast from the power source, wait ~1 minute, and then plug the Chromecast back in.  The PIN should appear on the backdrop.
