WHAT YOU’LL FIND IN YOUR CHROMECAST BOX:

 

  1. Chromecast: Your Chromecast plugs into any HDMI port on your TV, and uses your existing Wi-Fi network to stream video from the internet to your TV. A Chromecast is controlled from devices on the same Wi-Fi network, such as smart phones, tablets, or computers, and is powered using the USB cable (#2).
  2. USB cable: The USB cable provides power to your Chromecast. One end plugs into your Chromecast, and the other end plugs into either a USB port on your TV, or the power supply (#3). DO NOT PLUG THE USB CABLE INTO A PORT LABELED “SERVICE”; IT MUST BE LABELED “USB” OR DISPLAY THIS SYMBOL:
  3. Power supply: The power supply is optional, and can be used with the USB cable to power your Chromecast if your TV does not have a USB port.
  4. HDMI extender: The HDMI extender is optional, and can be used if your Chromecast does not fit directly into your TV. The Google Home app may also recommend using it to improve your Wi-Fi reception. Attach between your Chromecast and TV.

  • Chromecast may get hot to the touch; this is normal. Unplug Chromecast’s power source and let it cool before removing it from your television.

WHAT YOU’LL FIND IN YOUR CHROMECAST AUDIO BOX:

 

  1. Chromecast Audio: Plugs into any speaker system that has an aux-in or line-in port using the included audio cable(#2). Chromecast Audio uses your existing Wi-Fi network to stream audio from the internet for playback on your existing speaker system. Chromecast Audio is controlled from devices on the same Wi-Fi network, such as mobile devices, tablets, or computers, and is powered using the USB cable and provided power supply (#3, #4).
  2. Audio cable: Connects Chromecast Audio to speaker systems that support aux-in and line-in connections via a standard 3.5 mm port. Optionally, speaker systems with RCA inputs and optical digital inputs are supported, but required cables are sold separately.
  3. USB power cable: Provides power to your Chromecast Audio. One end plugs into your Chromecast Audio, and the other end plugs into the power supply (#4).

  1. Chromecast Ultra: Your Chromecast Ultra plugs into any HDMI port on your TV, and uses your existing Wi-Fi or Ethernet network to stream video from the internet to your TV. Chromecast Ultra is controlled from devices on the same Wi-Fi or Ethernet network, such as mobile devices, tablets, or computers.
  2. Power supply: The power supply connects your Chromecast Ultra to AC power. You can also connect your Chromecast Ultra to an Ethernet network through the port on the power supply. In some cases, an Ethernet connection can improve streaming speed and stability.
