If audio and video do not match (or are out of sync) when casting content, try the steps below:
- Confirm that the device meets the minimum system requirements to cast from Chrome.
- Stop casting then try to cast the same content again.
- Stop casting content.
- Close the Chrome tab.
- Reopen the Chrome tab and open the same website or content you were previously casting.
- Cast the tab then start playing the video again.
- Close any battery-draining application that may be running on your computer.
- Decrease the distance between the TV, router, and computer.
- The Chromecast device, Wi-Fi router, and computer should be less than 15-20 feet (5-6 meters) apart, ideally within the same room.
- Reboot the Chromecast device.
- Please reboot (power cycle) your Chromecast device by unplugging the power cord from the Chromecast device for ~1 minute before plugging the power cord back in.
- Note: Removing the Chromecast from the TV’s HDMI port does not reboot the device. It must be disconnected from the power source in order to reboot.
