Audio and video sync issue

If audio and video do not match (or are out of sync) when casting content, try the steps below:

  1. Confirm that the device meets the minimum system requirements to cast from Chrome.
  2. Stop casting then try to cast the same content again.
    1. Stop casting content.
    2. Close the Chrome tab.
    3. Reopen the Chrome tab and open the same website or content you were previously casting.
    4. Cast the tab then start playing the video again.
  3. Close any battery-draining application that may be running on your computer.
  4. Decrease the distance between the TV, router, and computer.
    • The Chromecast device, Wi-Fi router, and computer should be less than 15-20 feet (5-6 meters) apart, ideally within the same room.
  5. Reboot the Chromecast device.
    • Please reboot (power cycle) your Chromecast device by unplugging the power cord from the Chromecast device for ~1 minute before plugging the power cord back in.
    • Note: Removing the Chromecast from the TV’s HDMI port does not reboot the device. It must be disconnected from the power source in order to reboot.
