Chromecast Limited Warranty Information
CHROMECAST LIMITED WARRANTY
Google Inc. (“Google”) warrants the Chromecast (which includes the Chromecast device and the ancillary parts packaged with it) against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for one year from the date the Chromecast is first purchased by an end user (collectively, the “Limited Warranty”).
This Limited Warranty is only valid and enforceable in countries where the Chromecast is sold through Google-approved sales channels. This Limited Warranty only applies to hardware components, and Google does not provide any warranty for damage caused by normal wear and tear, accidents, misuse (including failure to follow product documentation and plugging the device or other included parts into the wrong type of port), neglect, disassembly, alterations and external causes such as but not limited to extreme thermal or environmental conditions (including but not limited to moisture and heavy dust). This Limited Warranty does not guarantee that use of the Chromecast will be uninterrupted or error free.
EXCLUSIVE REMEDY: If a defect arises and you return your Chromecast during the one-year warranty period, Google will, in its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law, (1) replace the defective Chromecast with a new or refurbished device with functionality at least equivalent to the defective device; or (2) if the Chromecast was purchased through Google Play, refund the original purchaser of the Chromecast the amount paid for the Chromecast (not including any shipping or handling amounts). If Google replaces any Chromecast, the replaced device will continue to be warranted for the remaining time of the original warranty period. All returned parts for which you have received a replacement will become the property of Google. To make a warranty claim, please contact Google Play Support at http://support.google.com/googleplay/.
In order to qualify for the remedy above, you must provide your name, contact information, and the serial number of your Chromecast. In certain situations, you may also be required to provide a purchase receipt.

YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GOOGLE AND ITS SUBSIDIARIES AND AFFILIATES (COLLECTIVELY, “GOOGLE PARTIES”) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY (WHETHER CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE) OR OTHERWISE) FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES THAT MAY BE INCURRED BY YOU IN CONNECTION WITH THE CHROMECAST OR THESE TERMS, INCLUDING ANY LOSS OF DATA, WHETHER OR NOT A GOOGLE PARTY OR ITS REPRESENTATIVES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF OR SHOULD HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF ANY SUCH LOSSES ARISING.
