Factory reset your Chromecast or Google TV Streamer Voice Remote

A factory reset will reset the Chromecast or Google TV Streamer Voice Remote to its default factory settings.

Note: This action will clear your data and can't be undone.

Google TV Streamer Voice Remote

1. Press and hold the Mute and Center (Select) buttons at the same time.
   • While both buttons are pressed down, the remote LED will blink white.
   • A countdown sound will play after 10 seconds of holding.
2. Keep holding the buttons until the LED turns solid white.

Note: It usually takes no more than 12 seconds to initiate a factory reset.

Chromecast with Google TV Voice Remote

1. (Optional) Check that the batteries in your Chromecast voice remote have charge remaining.
2. Remove the batteries from the remote.
3. Press and hold the Home button.
4. While holding the Home button, reinsert the batteries.
5. Hold the button while the LED light is solid.
6. When the light starts pulsing, release the button.
