My wife and I both have Chromeboxes. My computer will not connect to HP Envy 4500 printer hers does 0 Recommended Answers 3 Replies 1 Upvote
I have tried to delete my HP information from my Chromebook, the reconnect. Now my Chromebox says that the HP printer is no longer available. I have tried to load the printer manually with no results. Both my wife's and my Chromebox connect via wifi. I have No idea what to do next.

Try this
Log out of each of your profiles on your Chromebooks.
Then log onto the other Chromebox with your own profiles.
Does the problem stay with the Chromebox, or with your profile?

I have turned my Chromebox off and on many times including turning off the printer and only restarting it after the Chromebox was already running and I had deleted the prior loading of the printer. It may be significant that I bought my Chromebox well before my wife's Chromebox was bought. Mine I know was printing through the service that was discontinued and since that date that the service terminated, I have been unable to reload the printer. HOWEVER my wife's Chromebox immediately linked to the printer and has continued to do so from the time of purchase (late October), through the print service termination date to now. I am not going to play with her computer since she has it set the way she wants it and I am quite certain that the issue is in my Chromebox and probably is related to something that has not been done to eliminate any trace of the printer from before the Google print service was terminated in December. I wonder if I should wipe my computer clean and start completely over assuming I off-load every thing that I have loaded into the Chromebox to a remote drive?

I would add your wife's profile to you Chromebox and see what happens with the printer connections.
