Is there any way for a child using Family Link who is <13 to use anything other than YouTube Kids?

The best thing to do is to send feedback about this directly to the team via Alt + Shift + i and add the hashtag: #CROSFamilyLink

We've just set up our daughter's Chromebook & hit this wall, so frustrating! Her class teacher sets tasks via YouTube which she currently cannot access independently.

Are there any updates on allowing tweens to access YouTube on a supervised family link account? Or is it that Google just never bothered to establish a safe filtering method for YouTube?
