Depends on which OS files you are referring to, The Chrome OS or the Linux files. Either way both can be accessed via the command line or you can install a file manager like thunar, nautilus if you are more comfortable in a GUI.

use sudo apt-get install thunar or sudo apt-get install nautilus to install the GUI file managers. Chrome OS file manager only has minimal function and is primarily for Chrome OS file directory structure. As noted above your external SD Card is only accessible currently under Chrome OS.

Once you have a  GUI file manager installed you can open it up either by command line by typing......  thunar or nautilus or going to the chrome OS app manager and looking under the Linux Apps and selecting your file manager there. Also if you want to use your file manager as sudo to change application config files, you can type in the command line sudo thunar or sudo nautilus WARNING:::: YOU will start the file manager as ROOT so USE CAUTION things you can delete or do as sudo can have ever lasting bad effects if mistakes are made.

Hello! i was able to run the command :
lsblk

search for the usb or sd card in the list of partitions and directories, and boom, you will find it extremely quickly

oh, please ignore my mistake with the space in the dir command, any space in a folder/file name, must be parsed as \[SPACE] for an error not to be thrown, but instead list the directory

here is an example:
