As of the past month my logitech USB unifying receiver is no longer being recognized by my Toshiba Chromebook 2.  I have tried multiple USB receivers that all work on my windows devices.  Not being able to connect a keyboard/mouse is frustrating.

On my Lenovo chromebook, which I just bought new, I cannot connect my Logitech k400r, which has the "unifying" receiver.  When I plug the receiver into the chromebook, chromebook asks me if I want to format the device that is plugged in.  It does not recognize it at all.

Pairing on a Windows computer worked for me.  But that's not the fix that is really needed.

The first time I used Logitech's app I was able to connect a wireless trackball.  But later I tried to pair a keyboard and the Chromebook wouldn't even detect the USB receiver.

I am having the same problem with an ASUS CS202SA Chromebook. The Logitech devices once worked--the unifying receiver worked with Chrome and a K830 keyboard and M705 mouse worked great. However, I paired both devices to a Windows HP Envy (Win 10) and now can't get them to pair back to the Chromebook. The Chromebook does not recognize the USB unifying plug.

I  tried uninstalling/reinstalling the Logitech Unifying Software from the Chrome app store. That did not help.

I tried restarting the Chromebook to factory state and then reinstalling everything. That did not help either.

Still searching for answers.

Tonight (May 9, 2019), I will try pairing the unifying USB plug with the K830 on a Windows machine. I will then plug the same USB plug into the Chromebook to see if the pairing done with a Windows machine will functionally transfer to the Chromebook.

Plugging the USB Receiver into a Windows box, syncing the devices to that receiver using the Windows box, and then plugging that receiver into my Chromebook worked. A K380 and M705 worked.

However, I could not get the Logitech Unifying App to work on Chrome. I had to do all the coordination/syncing/connecting work on a Windows machine.

I plugged into a different chrome book, and the mouse and keyboard worked right away without me having to do anything.  There was something wrong with my other Chromebook or the USB hub I plugged into.  Hope that helps

Windows pair worked for me but I agree with others this is not a viable solution it is a workaround that I can leverage sometimes.
