Hulu playback is broken on my Chromebook. I get endlessly looping ads.

This problem has been going on for a while across several OS updates. I'm using a Lenovo IdeaPad 5 14ITLB and I've tried various recommendations online, including for troubleshooting DNS errors.

What happens is this. I click an episode in Hulu, I see the studio logo (FOX, Hulu original, etc), an ad plays, I see a brief loading bar at the point where the episode is supposed to begin, but then it goes back to the studio logo and starts over. The same ad just loops endlessly.

Sometimes I will be able to watch a little bit of an episode or a movie, but eventually one of the ad breaks will start looping endlessly.

Has this issue come up before? Any advice?

Hi Ben Henry

I don't remember seeing this reported before.

Are you watching via a Play Store app or website? If the latter, in case an installed extension or cache issue is causing this, please try resetting Chrome settings to default:

Then restart your Chromebook.
