My Chromebook goes to sleep at the 3 minute mark. How can I change the setting to 10 minutes?

I am trying to change the setting on my Chromebook so the screen stays "awake" more than 3 minutes without shutting down or going to sleep.  How do I change my "awake" screen time?

Hi Susan,

Chrome OS doesn't offer any option to change how long a Chromebook can sit idle before it goes to sleep. I've used a third-party extension for times when I wanted the screen to stay on indefinitely; there may be one that lets you set a timer but I haven't tried any of those.

I would encourage you to use alt + shift + i to let the developers know of your desire to adjust the idle timeout.

Cheers,
John
