Unable to get sound when i connect my monitors via USB C to HDMI hub.

I have a Ultech smart dual usb c to hdmi hub and I have two external monitors connected and can get them to display fine. When I try and switch the audio to one of the external montiors via the volume control I get no sound. Only one of the two monitors will display as an external sound output. Either monitor will work when plugged into a single USB C to HDMI connector but never when plugged in to the dual setup. I have tried the Selore USB C to dual HDMI connector as well. Any thoughts?

The hub is the likely problem here. I suggest you reach out to the hub manufacturer support in the first instance.

If the hub has a audio output jack and the monitors have audio input jack's try using that and a simple dual audio to single audio connector. If it doesn't you can get a hdmi cable with separate audio out cable then use a single audio to dual audio splitter n try that.

If not I dunno :).
