How do I get this to go away?  I have power washed to no avail.  I have attempted the suggestion that they make in the annoying popup, to no avail.  Thanks for any and all help you can give me on the subject.

Hi Windsor,

What happens when you click on Try It?

I suspect one of those extensions might be interfering here. Please try Settings > Advanced > Restore settings to their original defaults then restarting your Chromebook.

Hi Windsor,

To add to what Mike said, a couple of other users that I found on this forum had to do a factory reset to make this go away.

That worked perfectly!  Restore was definitely the answer.  Thank you so much!

Grrrr...nope.  It fixed it until I signed into my Gmail account and then it went back to that annoying start up page.

Hi Windsor,

Please share another (new) screenshot with that message on it.

I have tried, scrubbing, resetting to factory settings, powered off, etc.  Still this

Hi Windsor,

Try that reset settings while signed into your account - it should disable all extensions but I can still see them all there.

When I reset, I was signed in to my account.  When I went back in, the pop-up had stopped but I was signed out of my account.  As soon as I signed in again, the pop-up came back.

Actually, the browser is not working the way it should anyway.  I have set it to open to a particular webpage but it never does. It always opens to the screenshot that I have provided.

Might this be a managed account for a school or organisation? Those extensions should have been disabled by that process.

Nope, just a personal account that I have had since Gmail was invented.

Here is another twist in the tale.  If I click on the Gmail app, it opens Chrome with no popup.  Then I can continue to use Chrome without the announcement.  If I start by using the Chrome icon, that's when I get the popup.

be sure to report this to Google by typing shift+alt+i while on the URL with the issue.

Google will not respond to U but I know they read these things.

In case anyone is still struggling with this, the response from John Gregory 1577 above solved the issue for me.
