When trying to login to hotmail my chrome browser displays a blank white screen. Any ideas why this may be?

I am using a chromebook and the the chrome version is 54.0.2840.68.

Many thanks

Hi cn6v,

Thanks for stopping by the Chrome help forum. It looks like you're using an outdated version of Chrome so we'd recommend updating to the latest version (Chrome 57) first to see if that helps with the issue. In the meantime, we have a separate forum for Chromebook users so I'll move you over to the Chromebook forum for further advice.

Cheers,
Kameron

Please follow Kameron's instruction to update ChromeOS.

This Help page provides the details:

If you are using a wireless hotspot, you have to take extra steps to update.

If that is the case, try this::
  • Open the CrOSH shell: "Ctrl Alt t"
  • Type " update_over_cellular enable"
  • Type "exit"
  • Then try to update manually again
