Change or hide your account picture

You can see the names and pictures of each account on your Chromebook at the sign-in screen. You can change your account picture, or hide account names and pictures (if you're the Chromebook owner).

Change account picture

  1. If you haven't yet, sign in to your Chromebook.
  2. Click your account picture.
  3. Click Settings Settings.
  4. In the "People" section, click your account picture.
  5. Change your account picture. You have four choices:
    • Use your Google Account photo
    • Use one of the available icons
    • Choose a file: Click the Folder Folder.
    • Take a photo with your camera: Click the Camera Camera, then click Take photo take photo. To retake your photo, click the photo, then click Trash trash.

Hide account picture from sign-in screen

  1. If you haven't yet, sign in to your Chromebook.
  2. Click your account picture.
  3. Click Settings Settings.
  4. In the "People" section, click Manage other people.
  5. Turn off Show usernames and photos on the sign-in screen.

Now, you'll see a generic "Sign in" step on the sign-in screen.

Note: If you're using your Chromebook at work or school, or if your account isn't the owner of your Chromebook, you won't be able to hide account pictures.
