You can change your microphone, speaker, or other volume through quick settings.
Control your microphone volume
You can adjust how loud or soft your voice sounds to others during a call or meeting.
- At the bottom right, select the time.
- Next to the volume slider, select Audio settings

- Under “Input,” drag the microphone slider left or right.
Change your speaker volume
To control how loud or soft others sound to you, adjust your speaker, headphone, or other output volume.
- At the bottom right, select the time.
- Drag the volume slider left or right.
- Tip: To mute the volume, select Volume
.
- Tip: To mute the volume, select Volume
- To find your output settings, select Audio settings
.
- Under “Output,” the device in use will have a green check to the right.
Tell Google Assistant to adjust the volume
To change your output volume, say “Ok Google" or "Hey Google," then say a command. Learn how to use Google Assistant with your voice.
- Increase: Say "Turn it up." (Increases volume by 10%).
- Decrease: Say "Turn it down." (Decreases volume by 10%).
- Set a specific level or percent: Say a specific level or percentage of volume, like "Volume to 5." or "Volume to 65%."
- Change volume by [X] amount: Say a specific percentage of volume, like "Increase volume by 10%." or "Decrease volume by 10%."
- Maximize: Say "Maximum volume."
- Minimize: Say "Minimum volume."
- Mute: Say "Mute volume."
Turn noise cancellation on or off
Important: Only some devices support noise cancellation. If you can't complete the steps below, your device doesn't support this feature.
- At the bottom right, select the time.
- Next to the volume slider, select Audio settings

- Under "Input," turn Noise cancellation on or off.
