Add and open Chrome apps

1. Open the  Chrome Web Store.
2. Search or browse for the app you want. 
3. Click Add to Chrome.

For Windows, Linux, and Chromebook users, you can add a website on the internet as an app in Chrome.

1. Open Chrome.
2. Navigate to the website you want to add as an app.
3. In the top right, click the Chrome menu .
4. Click More Tools.
5. Add the app:
   • Windows users: Click Add to taskbar.
   • Linux users: Click Add to desktop. 
   • Chromebook users: Click Add to shelf.

1. Open Chrome.
2. In the address bar at the top, type chrome://apps.
3. Press Enter.
4. Click the app you want to open.

Right-click an app to open it in a regular or pinned tab, full screen, or new window.

An app can be opened in another browser if the URL starts with "http://". To open the app, follow these steps:

1. Open Chrome.
2. Open the app and confirm the URL
3. Copy and paste it into the address bar of another browser to open.

The Chrome App Launcher is a window where you can access all of your Chrome apps right from your desktop.

You can use the app launcher to:

• Organize your apps by dragging the app.
• Add or remove apps.
• Search for an app when you type its name in the search box.

App Launcher installs automatically when you add a Chrome app for the first time. Here's how it works:

1. On the left of Chrome Web Store, select Chrome Apps.
2. Select an app and click Free or Buy to install.
3. In your taskbar (Windows) or dock (Mac), look for App Launcher .

Note: On Chrome OS, the app launcher is enabled by default.

If you don't see App Launcher in your taskbar (Windows) or dock (Mac), here's how to find it:

Windows

1. Click the Start menu.
2. Select All programs > Google Chrome.
3. Right-click the App Launcher .
4. Click Pin to Taskbar.

Mac

1. Go to Finder and type "App Launcher" in the search box.
2. Drag the App Launcher to your Dock.

Linux

1. Search your computer for "Chrome App Launcher."
2. Pin it to your system's launcher or panel.

Chromebook

1. Sign in to your Chromebook.
2. Click the launcher icon .
