Updates to installed apps and extensions

Developers can choose to update items you’ve installed from the Chrome Web Store. Any available updates are automatically applied when you load extensions or open an app.

Developers may also update the permissions for an item that you’ve installed. When this happens, you’ll see a message at the top of the New Tab Page where you can grant or deny the new permissions. If you grant the new permissions, the item will be re-enabled. If you deny the new permissions, the item will remain disabled. For apps, the app icon will disappear from your New Tab page.
