google chrome is opening a new tab of Grammarly every time I open a new chrome window on Windows 10

I am a Windows 10 user and I have been using the Grammarly extension on Goole Chrome for a long time, but recently the Grammarly extension or Google Chrome started misbehaving. Whenever I open a new window of Google Chrome, after a couple of seconds it opens a new tab of Grammarly, which says that the Grammarly is now active on Google Chrome. This is quite annoying because it brings me to the new tab even if I am typing or working on the previous tab of Google Chrome. Please provide some solution to this issue.

Open Extensions in Chrome. In 'Grammarly for Chrome' settings, make sure you select the option 'on click' under 'Site access'. If it is not selected, then you will get a grammarly page launched every time you open Chrome. I had this trouble and I changed the configuration. Now I don't face this issue.

Is your browser set to clear data on exit or are you using incognito?
